Name: Andrés Isoard Arrangoiz

Age: 28

Hometown: Mexico City

Describe yourself in 3 words or less: Easy going, curious, adventurous.

What gets you out of bed each day? My friends, FOOD, work & and anything that gets in my way.

Other cities you have lived in: New York City, Melbourne, León (México) & Mérida (México).

What makes Mexico City special? The people are always incredibly nice, the weather is never too bad, and when it’s good it’s perfect, there’s always something new, creative, or amazing going on wherever you look.

Best place to caffeinete? Café Toscano is great for its location and for people watching; Joselo Café in Polanco, great for its location; Passmar is great because it’s hidden inside a market and its coffee is probably one of the best, if not the best, in the city.

We only have 24 hours in Mexico City, where would you take us? I would start at downtown for sightseeing and getting to know what México its all about (culture-wise), later on I would take you to a museum – MUAC so we can then spend most of the day at Roma/Condesa for food & shopping and later on, stay there for some drinks.

Where can we get the best street food? Tacos - El Farolito (Condesa) or El Chupacabras.

Best date night: Grab an early dinner and a couple of mezcales at the restaurant Azul Historico (Downtown) then have some drinks at the bar in Torre Latino and go out to Leonor Nightclub, great music for dancing and mezcales with Jamica (Hibiscus).

Best place for a dance: Leonor, M.N. Roy, Mono, Patrick Miller.

Favorite weekend getaway from Mexico City: Valle de Bravo & San Miguel de Allende (see san Miguel de Allende guide).

Who is on your stereo at the moment? The National.

Words you live by…if everyone around you is happy, you are doing it right… and; enjoy life, you only get one.
