Where do you live? La Condesa
What brought you to Mexico City, and how long have you been living here? Well, i grew up in México City in a small town: Barrio San Jose Iztapalapa, and 20 years after that i moved to different places around Mexico City, but after wandering around the city, i decided to move to Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca for a few years, and then back again to Mexico City.
Describe yourself in 3 words or less: Wanderlust.
What gets you out of bed each day? Tattoos and tattoos and tattoos. Drawing, painting, travel, and the feeling that each day can be the best day
What makes Mexico City special? Wow, i think its a big thing to say, but i can tell you something about that…historically, Mexico is a country which is open to diversity, cultural exchange, and that is why we find many varieties in terms of music, food, clothing, art, etc. Mexico City is also a concentration of various cultural movements.
Favorite place for coffee? I recommend a coffee place inside the Franz Mayer Museum, located in the center of Mexico City, near to the Bellas Artes Metro station. You will feel in the middle of nowhere even though you are in Downtown Mexico City, trust me.
Best place to watch the sunset? The best place to watch a sunset in mexico city to me would be some of the old fashion buildings and some of the hotels, or really cool coffee-bars.
We only have 24 hours in Mexico City, where would you take us? 24 hrs !!!??? Well i would take you for a nice breakfast to the Azulejos House, or Coyoacan – there are a lot of amazing restaurants; after that, maybe we could go to a museum about Mexican history, and eat near to the downtown of Mexico City; and after that we can go to move the body a bit in Garibaldi !!
Favorite live music venue: Roma & Condesa.
Favorite weekend getaway outside Mexico City: i recommend Taxco Guerrero – its an amazing place to stay for a weekend – have a great horse trip around the town, and also you can find silver jewelry and amazing coffee.
