The story of the estate. São Lourenço do Barrocal has been in the same family for more than 200 years, and it was José António Uva (who is eight generation of the same family) who had a vision to turn the family property into a farm retreat he could share with others. The passion and dedication behind José António’s dream, and what he has created, is incredibly inspiring.

The interiors. Perfectly simple and calming. The interior design was led by José António’s wife Ana’s design studio, AnahoryAlmeida (also responsible for the interiors of many of Lisbon’s finest restaurants) and it is a dream.

Hortelão, their outdoor restaurant. The most beautiful place to dine between Spring through Autumn, this slow-food, farm to fork restaurant is located next to the pool, right by the organic kitchen garden, and is the perfect place to enjoy a dinner under the stars.

Being on the road for the last 11 years, I've had my fair share of amazing (and trying, also) travel experiences. I love connecting with the locals wherever I go and am always trying to find more interesting and off-the-beaten path things to do. I've definitely found a few little diamonds along the way and am always happy to share these with you. Including custom ideas on how to fill one day in any given location - a couple of places to eat, drink, stay and explore.

A longer stay...
Including custom ideas on how to fill a longer stay somewhere - multiple destination ideas and/or recos on where to eat, drink, stay and explore.

PRICING: We charge a one-off, upfront fee for initial ideas. After presenting you with the ideas, we then charge an ongoing hourly rate if you choose to keep bouncing ideas back and forth (which I am more than happy to do). I can also help you book in all of your hotels (tapping into perks such as complimentary upgrades, spa credits and more) and this doesn't cost you anything extra. It is part of the service I offer.

We then custom build all the ideas and recommendations and share with you in a downloadable PDF for easy reference, making it super simple for you to book everything in (or we can book your hotels for you).
